Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Across Kyiv
Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, based on information from local officials.
Russian forces has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the G7 - in supplying protection systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.
Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.
A series of attacks struck electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.
Several of the people hurt in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.
Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.
The strikes follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.
All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.
Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with attacks already affecting energy systems.
He said energy workers and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
